What is the CTET exam?

CTET Full form is the “Central Teacher Eligibility Test”. This exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.C.). Ministry of Education, Government of India has given the responsibility of conducting the exam to C.B.S.C. They conducted this exam twice every year. The CTET exam is a bridge exam for some teaching jobs, After qualifying for this examination, you will be eligible to fill out the main examination form for various teaching jobs including government and private.

CTET 2024 Eligibility

If you want to appear in this exam you must fulfill the eligibility condition, which is simple

  • you must appear or pass the teaching diploma or degree. Here we also clear your confusion related to degree or diploma.
  • Minimum age for CTET is 17 and there is no upper age limit to apply for CTET.

B.Ed. (or it is equivalent) is considered a Teaching Degree. B.T.C. (D.El.Ed.) (or its equivalent) is considered a Teaching Diploma.

  • Paper 1 for those who want to be a teacher for classes I to V.

CTET cutoff

For qualifying CTET 2024 exam you must get 60% marks in the exam. There are 150 questions in both paper 1 and paper 2 so the cutoff is 90 marks for a single paper.
